Sarapduli Forest Lodge Jim Corbett
Sarapdui Forest Lodge
Located on the Dhangarhi-Dhikala road, 18 km inside the forest lies the Sarapduli Forest Lodge. It is the most centrally located forest rest house (FRH), downstream from Gairal forest lodge. Proximity to the Ramganga River provides a unique opportunity to see many wild animals up close apart from the numerous birds and crocodiles. It is a quiet and tranquil place that makes you lose yourself in nature. Since it is located deep inside the forest, movement of tourists on foot outside the FRH premises is strictly prohibited. Stay in the Sarapduli Forest Lodge is highly recommended for all wildlife enthusiasts.
Accommodation at Sarapduli Forest Lodge
The Sarapduli Forest Lodge offers limited accommodation. It has 2 standard rooms and a dormitory with 3 beds. Tourists need to make their own vehicle arrangement to reach the lodge. It provides a kitchen facility, but not much food is available. It is recommended to bring some food and beverages with yourself from either nearby lodges or outside. Electricity is not available at the Sarapduli Forest Lodge and limited power backup is available through solar panel inverters. The rooms have attached bathroom with running water and western toilet and wash basin facility available. Even the dormitory has a separate washroom with entry from outside. The rooms are big, airy and well ventilated but basic in nature, devoid of TV and AC. The FRH is surrounded with solar wire fencing to protect the tourists from wild animals.
